Connect to the Pulsation

In the Hindu tradition there are six "attributes of spirit," and one of those is called "Spanda". Spanda means pulsation, or vibration. The energy of the universe moves - it is not static. There is always a give-and-take, an ebb and flow. Through this practice, Roger asks you to think about how your energy moves, and to respond to it accordingly. He challenges you to take a deep breath before you're ready to "make a move" whether it be to move deeper into, or get out of your pose, and to instead open up to receiving. Remembering all the while that energy moves in a pulsation, and to teach yourself to respond accordingly to that pulsation. This is a powerful and moving flow that will leave you feeling as though you experienced something profound.
